The C.L.C.A. conducts audits of Canadian companies to determine the status of their required occupational health and safety training to ensure they are compliant with their Federal and Provincial labour laws.
Our main goal is to educate employers about the changes to the current laws directly pertaining to them. Moreover, we want to inform employers across Canada about their legal obligations and, more importantly, the risks they face if they choose to ignore these laws. Our mandate is to assist companies in their prevention of senseless and avoidable consequences to their employees, customers as well as their entire company.
IMPORTANT LEGISLATION UPDATE! WHMIS with GHS (WHMIS 2015)
WHMIS legislation has now been amended to WHMIS with GHS. GHS stands for Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of hazardous workplace chemicals (controlled products). WHMIS with GHS is a system that defines and classifies the hazards of chemical products and communicates health and safety information on labels and safety data sheets (SDSs). WHMIS with GHS became law through the amended regulations on February 11th 2015. All provincial, federal, territorial occupational health and safety WHMIS regulations must be updated and all employees must be retrained on the new standard commencing June 1st, 2015.
